I sent my supporting documents for e-filing to NSC PO box and it reached next day noon. I also got LUD next day.
This is what I see on the USPS Tracking details.
'"Your item was delivered at 11:03 AM on July 8, 2008 in LINCOLN, NE 68501 to INS EXPRESS . The item was signed for by F HEINAUER."

You are right - The status changed today saying some one has picked it up - So express mail is good for sending.
Does the checks getting cashed mean the applicaton is accepted - and for whatever reason if they deny willu get the fees back?????

Good luck with that. It didn't work for me either. The Doctor's office did not even accept my insurance in the first place evn though they were in my network, I don't know why but they gave some weird excuse. I was in no mood to argue and was eager to get the medicals done so I just paid up hoping to get it reimbursed but did not see a penny from the insurance co.
did anyone get reimbursed for the medical exams - physicals and vaccinations?

Thanks for your response. Yes, I am in biological research. I Hope it does not take longer than 2-3 weeks. Also I see posts for Blue, green, yellow slips and everyone seems to be stuck for long. However there are hardly any cases for Pink slip, WHY?? is it that hardly anyone gets a pink slip or they seems to have less problems so no one bothers to post it here?

They have too few people to do the job. When your app switches to priority processing it gets to another queue. When it is near the end of the 15 days they send an RFE simply because they can't complete it in time. Now they have at least another 15+ days to complete the thing.

This brings up a seperate question if employment gaps are not allowed in EB AOS then what if EAD renewal does not come in time. I have no idea about that one. Its messy. US really needs CIR they need to do some house cleaning.
if ead renewal keeps you away from work, then i guess you can always be on a short vacation locally ...a month or two? i think vacation is allowed.

1. No need to apply extn with the new employer, when you file for H1-Transfer you get 3 year extenstion
2. You need to apply for new PERM through new employer, as you do not have a pending i-485. In my case I have an EB2 Perm with proiority date of Feb 2008. New company filed for PERM in 2011 and is pending. Once they file for I-140, they will port the priority date from the old PERM. Attorney never told me any thing about job description or any issue as you can even port the priority date from EB3. So i think that does not apply. You will need your I-140 and PERM copies from the current employer while doing the transfer and porting the priority dates.

Can you start residency on EAD if you are the primary for 485? Meaning, can you use AC21 and change jobs from research to residency after 180 days from filing? Please help, really confused.

We must ask specialists like Greg Siskind or Stephen Perlitsh.
It would be a good idea if we setuup a conference call with either of these residency gurus, unless you know someone else who is the best.
There is a group called IV Physicians, 'paskal' runs this group. So if you are doing research, residency etc... you must join this group.

It's actually a myth that a longer lens requires a higher aperture. For the same framing, you get the same DOF (Depth Of Field) for the same aperture, whether you use a 600mm telephoto lens or a 4.5mm ultra-fisheye. - Mats
You are technically correct of course, but for practical purposes, if Shannon's primary goal is trying to capture a good depth of field of a child running around, and based on Shannon's comment about the willingness to crop, DOF will be easier to achieve with a wider lens.
Having said that, it was good for you to provide the rest of the story as it may be the basis of decisioning as the skills improve.

you can't file 2 concurrent i-485's with same names. But, on your AOS/485 application your spouse can be listed as beneficiary and Your spouse in her applications need to choose consular processing while filing I-140 or vice versa.this way you can use the best of both applications.

I started with 6. It isn't THAT much of an upgrade from 6. It does have a few little features that I like, like dynamic brushes that change direction and color.

She can get letter from her employer that mentions that she's on maternity leave to prove that she is still employed and also that she can join back.

Don't agree with this. According to a revision some time ago, time in H4 status is no longer counted against H1-B 6 yr limit.
