Hello Friends,
I am planning to apply Canada PR... here is my status...
Filed 485... currently working on EAD... no H1 any more... employer didn't extend it...
1. Should i qualify IELTS to prove english language ability... inspite of having 18 yrs of education with medium of instruction as english?
2. Since i do not have h1 any more and am on PAROLE status.... will it be difficult for me to prove that i have "real intent" of moving to Canada after getting PR?
I would appreciate any one who can throw some light on this.

(1) Let us write to our senators.
(2) Let us write to CIS Ombudsman
(3) Emilio.T.Gonzalez had posted his comments in USCIS portal, where the customers of CIS is allowed to add their comments. We can use this forum to high light the problems faced in NSC.

My fear is that if I have an interview, I would fall to pieces and get so nervous to answer questions.
I also wonder if my entries from 1986 will show up when they check the records.
I think you can take your attorney to interview , If at all you have an interview. If you were never out of status since your last entry you should be good BTW whats your PD?

I have observed, based on stories from different people that NSC sends RFEs when one tries to upgrade a non-premium I-140 case to premium. Does NSC send RFEs for premium cases? Till now, I have only heard NO.
No matter how hard I try, my lawyer keeps insisting that my case should not be upgraded to premium, because if an RFE is served, it might delay the case even more (implying, more than how long a regular case takes).
The whole thing does not seem to make any sense. If an applicant files under premium processing, according to NSC, his/her application is more reliable (and honest?) than if some one who files it on non-premium basis?

My wife was on H4 earlier and then she coverted her visa into F1 (student). She got I 20 form from school with her, But She doesn't have F1 stamp on her Indian Passport. She got 2 hour halt in Paris.

I have travelled on Lufthanza several times with stopover at Frankfort. My parents who have a visitor visa to US travelled on Air France with stopover at Paris. In both cases, there was no need for any transit visa. As a general rule, you need a visa only if you are leaving the airport at the stopover Hub.

My case was also transferred to CSC. The transfer notice has a different receipt date than the receipt notice. MY case is now transferred back to NSC.
I would like to know if anybody of you have received finger print notice. I have not received it yet.

That vote would have limited debate on the bill and cleared the way for passage later this week, but senators voted 53-46 against that plan, killing the bill.

So you are asking me to first threaten him by saying that I would take this matter to DOL if he does not refund me back. If matter gets really worse then and only then should I lodge a complaint against his firm? Am I right? If I have to complain, what is the procedure. I am just nervous. Please guide me.
And by the way how much do you think out of $1800,can I ask him to refund? And to just bring to your notice, he is saying this after 1 year. I can even ask him to pay me the interest for 1 year that he's enjoyed on my hard earned money. Right?

It might even backfire by him not paying me anything (Right now he is ready to pay me something out of $1800 by talking to his finance dept.) and challenging me to the court. I am in India from last october and will be in India till coming October. I cannot agree to his terms of going to the court and all that stuff. And at the same time it should not impact my other H1 petition on which I already have VISA.
Sorry to put forth so many conditions before you. But I just want to be cautious and work out all pros and cons in my mind before executing it.

I have an MS degree in Materials Science & Engg, but work in IT. My 1st H1 transfer was denied, but the 2nd time it was approved with lesser documentation. Although I feel I am qualified in my capacity, of course I am very Thankful & Grateful (for now, I still have a long ways to go :p) Go figure, that is USCIS!! PM me if I can try help you further. I have problem with my lawyer too .I found out he made a mistake on my application concerning my information.my employer gave me the password so I checked my status on line.and when I asked him what gonna happen with my application .he were furious and he ask me who told you and he says thats not true.but I saw every thing with my proper eyes .any way he told me that next time if I wana talk to him I have to send him a check of 250 dollar the price of the consultation.then he can answer my question.and he told me that if he wana hurt me he can do it.I don't know what he means.and after I called my employer to tell him about the lawyer .today I foundout that the password for checking the status was changed. here's my story friends .plus my perm is pending for 127 day by now. please guys advice

Nothing to panic. This is a disaster & the entire world knows about it. Just make sure to take the screenshots of flight cancellation status & few online news headlines. Ask your parents to carry this while traveling to US in future.
For now, try to see there are any other options for them (like booking the ticket via one of those middle-east airlines). If not, just wait till middle of the next week so situation would be improved anyway.
Couple of days delay is easily justifiable under extraordinary situation like this one.
